We co-commission a substantial portfolio of programmes and produce a range of learning resources delivered online, on-air and through face-to-face activities that connect, create and magnify powerful opportunities across the entire BBC to inspire all audiences. The department is also home to a comprehensive specialist learning offering that includes key brands such as Bitesize, Skillswise, and Class Clips. RoleWe are looking for Researchers to be part of teams who shapes and deliver large scale public events across the country. You will provide detailed and thorough research to support the events and the learning content around them. Building, developing and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues and external clients, you will also support the Assistant Producer in planning events ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Essentially, you will be originating and developing ideas and translating these into creative content for our audiences.RequirementsTo be successful for this pool, candidates should have a good understanding BBC Learning's audiences, experience of working in a TV environment and the ability to plan and stage events with genuine audience takeout. They'll also need to be able to identify and magnify learning opportunities to ensure audiences attending the tour have an enriching experience that enables them to find out more about the main themes of the series. You will also be an experienced researcher, with the ability to remain calm, organised and focused under pressure and have the ability to work within a team as well as under your own initiative. A superb communicator with diplomacy skills and discretion, you will have excellent inter-personal and creative problem solving skills. Experience of delivering projects jointly with partners from inside and outside the BBC is desirable.
