This company is heavily involved in digital media, ingesting, processing and delivering thousands of premium TV programs and films to broadcasters and high profile video on demand platforms globally.

There is a requirement for a support engineer to manage the 1st line queue. The position requires the successful applicant to respond, repair or escalate and document any 1st line issues on a day-to-day basis.They will be required to work closely with the technical team and liaise with the relevant staff members.

This position will suit a candidate with a thirst for knowledge in a fast paced and growing media environment.

Key Skills
· Understanding of operating systems. (Windows XP, 7, Server, Linux)
· Understanding of the use of ITIL.
· Installation, configuration and maintenance of desktop software packages.
· Installation, configuration and maintenance of printers.
· Understanding and setup of network configurations.

· Willing and able to be on the "on-call" rota.

Areas of Responsibility
· The ability to respond dynamically to 1st line issues.
· To maintain the 1st line queue.
· To keep the organisation informed regarding the state of ongoing issues.
· Keep the ITIL system up to date. (i.e. ServiceDesk)
· Keep the Wikipedia documentation up to date.

Qualifications & requirements
· Degree in Computer Science, Networking or similar
· 4+ years relevant experience
· Resident in the UK
