Join ITVThe TeamWe are currently looking for an Assistant Editor to join our Post Production team on a freelance basis during the busy summer months to provide operational and technical support to our AVID suites, production, freelancers and fellow members of staff. The RoleResilient, flexible and highly organised, you will have experience in working in a fast paced, ever changing post production environment. You will also have the ability to work autonomously seeing projects through to completion, and will have a sharp eye for detail.Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)Experience working within a post production environment (at least 12 months). A good knowledge of production and post-production workflows as well as general craft editing, colour grading and audio dubbing systems. Understanding of film & video technology and terminology.Advanced IT skills involving PC and Mac functionality. Additionally, knowledge of audio dubbing software, Pro Tools, would be advantageous A working knowledge of post production systems including Avid Media Composer, Avid Interplay - (Production Asset Management system) and media management would be beneficial. Other things we're looking for (key criteria)Organisation and administration skills.Technical Ability (Familiarity with editing applications.)Logical thinking and Problem Solving.Communication and teamwork skills.Attention to Detail and works well under Pressure.Experience working on a drama set.ITV strongly encourages applications for this role from disabled people.
