WHAT IS THE ROLE

Support and assist the Broadcast Operations department in ensuring that all necessary technical and operational functions are carried out efficiently for successful transmission of Channel 5 programming.



Provide practical support for the Broadcast Operations department
Ingest quality control and transcodes of programme material for linear transmission and on-demand video platforms
Create and upload video material for viewing on Press Browse
Database media management; housekeeping
Check on materials processed and deliveries daily
Provide administrative support checking and updating department inboxes and documents for record keeping, and to ensure programming is delivered ready for transmission
As directed by Management & Coordinators to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department.

Be an ambassador for all VCNI channels, internally and externally
Adopt and promote the ViacomCBS values and support a culture of inclusion


WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED

Basic knowledge of video standards and file types/codecs ideal
Basic knowledge and experience of Premier, FCP & Avid editing ideal
IT skills with experience of using both Mac & PC
Confidence to liaise effectively with all levels of management and the wider team
Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player
Highly flexible and multi-skilled in approach to work
An empathy with Channel 5 brand and core values combined with a strong desire to contribute to the channels continued business success
