Love are looking for people to join the Sewing Team, based in Manchester, Leeds or surrounding areas to join our brilliant team on The Great British Sewing Bee. This role will involve being on location in the north of the UK during the filming period.

Dates: Aug - Oct 2024

Location: Leeds

Shoot dates: Late August - Late October 2024. This role will be expected to be on location for shoot days, which will involve working some weekends.

Essential Experience:

• Experience on a TV or film set.
• Experience in a professional capacity as a seamstress, wardrobe assistant, or other similar role.
• High standard of sewing skills, with knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques.
• Understanding of and ability to use home sewing patterns and their instructions.
• Strong technical knowledge of machines and equipment (sewing machines, overlocker, coverstitch).
• Experience dressing, styling and understanding measurements and fit of garments.
• Costume buying experience.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Experience:

• Pattern cutting skills.
• Ability to write, illustrate and test sewing pattern instructions.
• Knowledge of fabrics, haberdashery and suppliers.
• Experience on a TV set/Environment.

Rate: Depending on experience.
