About the role:

We are in search of a talented and experienced Editor to join our wonderfully chaotic and crazily innovative team! This role requires someone who is super passionate about editing, who loves sinking their teeth into a challenging timeline, and who can craft a compelling story from hours of footage. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for storytelling to elevate our content to new heights.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will involve editing projects of all sorts for several social media channels. You will mainly be editing long-form content (anywhere between 3 minutes to 15-20 minutes or more!) but you will also need to jump into short-form content as well.

Our long-form examples include:

- Behind the Scenes of our big shoots
- Filmmaking challenges (for example, our VFX artists compete against each other to make the best VFX video using PowerPoint...)
- Interviews/chat-shows with guests and/or celebrities
- Vlogs
- Short-films, sketches, parodies
- Trailers, showreels, Proof-of-concepts

For short-form (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram) responsibilities will include:

- Doing cutdowns of longer edits into shorts
- Doing final comps (timeremapping, sound design and colour grade) of our viral VFX shorts.
- Editing tutorials, breakdowns, before-and-afters

Key Skills:

Passion for filmmaking, storytelling and social media.
Experience in editing projects of all sorts: documentaries, short-films, interviews, corporate videos, and social media content. We are looking for a portfolio that showcases breadth, versatility and creativity.
Proficient understanding of DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro. After Effects knowledge desirable.
Good knowledge of various social media platforms, their respective audiences, and current editing styles and trends.
A keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
