The Junior Content Editor conceives, produces, and posts best-in-class social media content across our portfolio of brands on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and emerging platforms.

We are recruiting for a Junior Content Editor to join the History pod within our Network team. The Junior Content Editor conceives, produces, and posts best-in-class social media content across our portfolio of brands on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and new and emerging platforms. The available role is within our History genre pod (channels include Timeline, Absolute History, War Stories, Real Royalty and others)

The role of the Junior Content Editor covers editing video content, creating relevant and effective metadata and being able to produce quality video thumbnails, as well as handling the upload of videos to social media platforms and implementation of metadata and thumbnails according to best practices.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
* Video editing on a daily basis and creation of images/designs to be posted to YouTube and social media platforms
* Uploading to a schedule as set out by the Senior Content Manager or Programming Manager, including applying thumbnail and metadata, as well as applying any necessary Usage Policy and Custom ID
* Work with Content Editors and the Social Media and Community Manager to conceive and execute the absolute best social media content across a number of brands
* Copywriting and optimisation of content to maximise performance and engagement.
* Creating bespoke video thumbnails (i.e. images on Photoshop according to platform best practices).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.
* Proven video editing experience using Premiere Pro or similar
* Proven experience using Adobe Photoshop
* Knowledge of Social Platforms and their use of video
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills underpinned by a positive attitude
* Knowledge of different file formats
* Excellent grammar and spelling
* An interest or passion in history!
* Creativity and initiative - we value your input and ideas!
