We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Junior Production Manager to join our MotoGP team working on a seasonal global sport production. It will be a yearlong contract, starting from June 2022. The role will involve working across the remote gallery based in Stratford and some overseas travel, across weekends. The successful candidate would be working to the Unit Manager, and will also be supported by a Junior Production Co-Ordinator and a Production Secretary.Ideally a background in sports television production, with an understanding of live and remote productions, post-production workflows and the ability to manage wider production logistics are desirable. Effective communication skills and the ability to support and be part of a wider team are also essential. The role will be London based and some more details can be found below:Role• Managing all travel and accommodation (including cost management) for up to 21 worldwide races for a team of 30 people split across two locations - remote gallery and onsite teams• Booking freelancers and suppliers• Managing all global logistics i.e. freight, carnets, visas, covid testing• Liaising with the UK broadcaster regarding deliverables and live requests• Managing onsite accreditation procedures and requests• Knowledge of H&S and insurance procedures in a high-risk environment an advantage• Produce risk assessments and look after the wider production health and safety• Day-to-day management of the junior members of the Production Management team• Assisting with overall budget management and weekly cost reports• Produce and complete production sustainability programme through the 'Albert' platform• Book resources for the remote gallery on Broadcasters digital system (Provys)Skills and Experience• Line management experience and the ability to delegate• Proven record of working within a large team• Flexibility with working hours, including working on weekends, and the ability to travel to location when required• Understanding of PMI or similar cost reporting tools• Health and Safety practical experience and training including Covid-19 protocols• Ability to work under pressure effectively and professionally and to tight deadlines• Comfortable with reacting to last minute changes, including but not limited to Covid-19• A true understanding of global travel requirements i.e. visas, Brexit, carnets, freight• Good communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships across the team• Computer literacy in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook• An up-to-date passport and love of travel an advantage!We are committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and encourage applications from groups that are underrepresented in our industry.
