Junior Videographer / Editor

London

We seek a talented Videographer with experience shooting, editing, and producing video content for social media.

As part of the Global Digital Marketing team, the Videographer will work closely with the Global Head of Digital Marketing and the Global Digital Marketing Manager to lead on lead creative video concepts and execution/production for Universal Production Music and Universal Music for Creators.

The ideal candidate will have an abundance of creative ideas for promoting our production music composers and artists and unique strategies for promoting the business via video content and will be someone with experience in fast paced short (and medium length) content, aimed for a fast turnaround

The B Side: Skills & Experience
Your work as a videographer/editor will involve:

Video production: conceptualise, plan, and execute photo/video shoots, including pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
Videography: capture high-quality footage using professional camera equipment, ensuring technical excellence in composition, lighting, and sound.
Video editing: edit and assemble raw footage into polished photo/video content that aligns with brand guidelines and storytelling objectives.
Motion graphics: create motion graphics, titles, and visual effects to enhance video content and convey key messages effectively.
Storytelling and idea generation: use visual storytelling techniques to create engaging narratives that resonate with our target audience and evoke emotion. Come up with unique ideas to promote the company via content.
Content optimisation: tailor photo/video content for different platforms and formats, optimising for maximum engagement and impact.
Collaboration: work closely with global marketing, production and composers, with overall campaign objectives and brand messaging.
Feedback and iteration: solicit feedback from team members and stakeholders, incorporating input and making revisions as needed to achieve the desired outcome.
Technical expertise: stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in photo/videography, editing software, and equipment, continually refining skills and knowledge

Person Specification
Who are you?

You live and breathe social media and can easily spend hours watching videos online.
You are up to date and have an eye for viral content, creators, and what's trending.
You are eager to learn and want to be a part of the world's leading music publisher.
You have an impeccable work ethic and a passion for social content

Essential:

Proven track record in shooting, editing and producing video content.
Conceptual and able to storyboard, develop and produce.
Good network, ability to source actors, equipment, and locations as and when required.
Social media expert (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok), and understanding of how to use data to measure engagement and maximise content creation ideas.
Highly attentive to detail, methodical, reliable, self-guided, shows initiative.
Good attitude towards handling multiple projects and working to deadlines.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and collaborate where necessary.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Desire and interest to keep up to date with industry/social trends, software updates, best practices etc
Skilled in post-production, including Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
Cinema 4D or 3D/animation skills an advantage.
Good knowledge of current design and motion graphic trends is an advantage.
Good understanding of graphic design and typography.
Good motion graphics skills are an advantage.
Knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Fully competent on MAC OSX.
