Position Summary:
We are looking for Lead Animators within our brand new, Liverpool-based animation studio (UK). You'll work on our commissioned 52 x 11' 2D animated TV Series which will be produced in ToonBoom Harmony.

Primary duties will include leading quality animated pieces on schedule within ToonBoom Harmony, establishing quotas and evaluating shots, ensuring they are in concordance with the Director's vision. Successful candidates will be comfortable in a busy creative environment and be able to effectively manage team members to deliver work that meets our high standards, on budget and to schedule.

Responsibilities:

· Working from storyboard/animatic and setup layout files to create high quality, key framed animation demonstrating a strong sense of performance, posing, timing and weight including lip synch and shot to shot.

· Working closely with Animators presenting briefs and providing constructive feedback and criticism.

· To feed into the development and author the house style of the series, to be across reuse and complex scenes.

· Working collaboratively with team members to ensure animations adhere to the the approved style, themes and vision of the Director from blocking through to the final animation.

· Adhering to Production processes and being responsible for shots and sequences through to completion.

· Working closely with our Rigging team to troubleshoot, identify issues and problem solve.

· Ensuring first-rate work is completed to tight schedules.

Requirements
Qualifications/requirements:

· Minimum 2+ years experience working as Lead Animator or similar senior role

· Excellent understanding of traditional 2D animation principles

· Strong understanding of body mechanics, both human and animal

· Ability to execute a range of various styles

· Excellent communication and organisation skills with evidenced ability to manage time and meet deadlines

· Proactive approach to work and problem solving

· Comfortable leading and developing junior members of the team

· Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

· Proficient in Toon Boom Harmony

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, growing team
