Reporting into the Head of Content Management, the Media Manager will support PLP with media management across varied content production

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for all the technical/media management requirements of PLP
Proactively identify bespoke solutions for the design, Implementation, maintenance and improvement of PLP Media Management & Technical Workflows, with emphasise on remote working.
To effectively maintain clear lines of communication with all Production Staff. Ensure Media Management workflows are understood and adhered to, and any potential technical/media management issues are highlighted at the earliest opportunity.
Comprehensive understanding of post-production workflows from pre-production research through to high-end finishing.
Work closely with Broadcaster Services, IMG Studios to ensure the technical production workflows for Evoke Productions are being managed in the most effective/cost efficient/technically sound way - holding regular meetings to improve communication and stay up to date with technical developments at IMG Studios
Technical Management of PLP "Live" content Productions, either via Broadcast Feed access or Digital File delivery.
Line management of Senior Media Coordinators - managing direct reports and resources to achieve specific functional or organizational goals. Providing training and support.
To be aware of technology advances (inside and outside of IMG infrastructure) to improve efficiency and workflows are in place.
You may also be required to carry out any other duties within the scope and purpose of the job.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge & Experience)

Previous experience of line managing and running a team
Experience of setting up new workflows and systems across multiple projects.
Knowledge of TV production and digital storage.
Knowledge of Video Formats, File Transfer
Knowledge of Line Management
Knowledge of system use such as Avid, Adobe Premiere, IPD and EVS
Knowledge of Digital archive
A higher education qualification closely related to the work of the service concerned
Considerable experience in similar roles.
Evidence of the continuous personal development in the relevant subject matter.

Desirable

Knowledge of Data-base/File Structures
Knowledge of IP structures
Knowledge of VizOne, ISIS Interplay, Lines and Sats and HD fibre networks

Working Conditions

This is a permanent position
Please note, we are operating on a remote working set up until lockdown restrictions have been lifted. Thereafter, the role will be based at Stockley Park, Uxbridge (free on-site parking)
Working hours are on average 40 hours per week
Some weekend work will be included (occasional Bank Holidays)
Adapting to efficiently and effectively using new systems and technology where appropriate
