National Filming & Location Manager

National

We are England's largest landowner and last year we welcomed around 291 million visits to our beautiful forests. We are on the frontline of the climate crisis, seeing the impact on our forests on a daily basis. We have an important role to play and the scale of what we do puts us in a unique position to tackle some of today's biggest issues - from social inclusion and wellbeing, to addressing climate change and biodiversity loss.?

Diversifying our income streams is vital as we strive to do more for nature, communities and the landscapes we care for.

Our extensive forest estate has featured as a striking backdrop for many movies, TV series and adverts over recent years. National filming and location hire has the potential to grow into a significant income stream for Forestry England, and we're looking for the creative, commercially minded manager who will lead its' development through this exciting period of growth.

Job description
About you and your team

You'll be joining a productive and successful Brand and Corporate Partnerships team. Since 2020, we have brought in millions of additional funding in support of our work, and you'll help us take this to the next level.

You'll have experience of negotiating fees and contracts, with knowledge of copyright law in relation to film and TV work.

You will have experience of working collaboratively with senior colleagues and stakeholders to establish a new work area, gaining support and recognition for what you do, internally and externally. You'll be confident with managing budgets and comfortable working to income generation targets each year.

We want to hear from candidates who have a network of industry contacts, and market insight, that can be used to establish this new, national programme. We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have experience of working in unusual, sometimes challenging, outdoor locations with an awareness of sustainability and ecological considerations.

Our ideal candidate will have sharp commercial acumen, proactively identifying further income generation opportunities as a result of filming and photography work taking place across our estate.
