We are looking for a second Office Assistant to join our busy Central London office.The role of Office Assistant is very much admin based and will NOT lead to on-set production job. As well as being responsible for the smooth running of our office, you will also be required to act as Personal Assistant to one of the Producers. For this reason, we will only consider candidates with previous experience as an Office Assistant or PA.This is an extremely demanding job: both mentally and physically. You will be working in a highly pressurised environment, your focus will constantly be changing from one task to the next but you will be expected to handle having several tasks thrown at you, all at once. The producers are extremely busy and need someone who understands that their function in the office is to relieve some of the burden and workload that comes with being a film producer.Although tensions in the office can run high, office hours are long and the job can sometimes feel somewhat thankless, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to learn, first-hand, about the film industry from the extremely experienced producers, whilst being directly involved with a slate full of exciting and compelling projects that you will be helping develop.We are looking for someone who will work with us for a minimum of 6 months. You will be trained by an outgoing assistant and then be expected to work independently, alongside another current assistant.The ideal candidate will:- be intelligent- have an excellent memory - you will be expected to be familiar with several hundred contacts and the various ongoing projects they are connected to- possess excellent communication skills - a good grasp of verbal and written English is a must- be able to multi-task and prioritise his/her workload- be highly computer literate - you will need to be proficient with a Mac OS and possess excellent typing skills- be imperturbable- have a good sense of humour- be passionate about filmDay to day tasks will include:Responding to emails in a timely and effective mannerProcessing invoicesUpdating financial spreadsheetsFiling contractsManaging petty cashKeeping office supplies well stockedBooking travel (cars, flights, hotels, restaurants)Creating conference callsDiary managementHandling office mail and the producer's personal mail
