Production Technician (Stage)

The Adelphi Theatre is thrilled to be hosting the cutting-edge experience that is Back to the Future, The Musical. We are currently recruiting for a Production Technician (Stage).
In this exciting role, you will be part of a team who will deliver the technical requirements on Back to the Future, the Musical. Working with a diverse and multi-skilled team, you will provide the highest standard of customer experience to our resident production and break new ground in our industry.

What you'll be doing...

- Working on all shows and all technical rehearsals of Back To The Future as part of the Stage department responsible for the setting and management of scenery and props.
- As part of the Production Technician team, you will be prepping the show in advance each day and helping to conduct safety checks.
- Working closely with your own team, the visiting company and its Stage Management to ensure the smooth and safe operation of each show. The safety of everyone backstage, on stage and in the audience is paramount.
- Problem solving during live performances.
- Conducting maintenance on the set and other technical aspects of the show, so it always looks its best.
- Ad hoc project work as directed by the Heads of Department.
- Manual handling and work at height/ on ladders is necessary in this role and training will be provided.

- Logical and methodical, with the ability to follow instruction precisely.
- Adaptable, with the ability to use initiative in identifying problems and working with the team to find solutions.
- Technical theatre experience from another West End or number one touring venue is desirable, as is an understanding of theatre health and safety.
-Willingness to work overtime as / when required.

Salary: Above SOLT/ BECTU: £16.73/hour for a 40 hour week, supplemented by a discretionary performance bonus payment of 3 hours per week pro rata and a £33 Special Technical Requirements payment, pro rata.
