Your New Role

We're on the hunt for a passionate, dedicated and content-obsessed Social Media & Digital Co-Ordinator to join the Social & Digital team as we bring viewers the very best in real life entertainment through our brands and D2C products.

They will work closely with the wider Social & Digital, Marketing, Press, and Ad Sales teams, and our third-party agencies, to execute fully integrated campaigns that showcase amazing franchises like: Wheeler Dealers, Gold Rush, Adam Richman Eats Britain, Fixer to Fabulous, and Celebrity I.O.U, across our owned and operated digital and social platforms.

Your Role Accountabilities

As a Social & Digital Coordinator, you will help manage the Discovery, Food Network, and HGTV social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) with daily tasks to include:

Assisting with the creation of content calendars, curating and publishing compelling social content that acts as an extension of our marketing campaigns and funneling users into discovery+, as well as earning revenue via in-feed advertising, all whilst ensuring brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology.
Identifying compelling evergreen content for use on our own social feeds; mining our content archives to resurface older shows to post on new platforms, to new audiences.
Owning a live relationship with our audiences and deepening their engagement through content, conversation, and community management.
Assist in briefing of content creation team to create social-first content and engaging short-form videos that will generate views, as well as ultimately funnel viewers to our D2C products, or promote a linear network TX.
Attend and support photoshoots and filming for big ticket marketing campaigns and assist with capturing digital content.
Assist Manager with the execution of any influencer campaigns.
Assist Senior S&D Manager and S&D Manager with budget management, create POs and invoices, and manage relationship with finance.
Support with administration as needed.
Keep up to date with emerging content trends, platform tools etc. to ensure strategy is evolving in line with the industry.

Skills and Experience

Good understanding of the entertainment/broadcasting industry.
Good understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms with some experience using social media management tools and analytic software for scheduling, monitoring conversations and measuring campaign success.
Some community management experience, working across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, YouTube, and TikTok
Strong copywriting and creative writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Organised and efficient, with good communication skills.
Ability to identify "sticky" short-form video content and adapt/edit for different social and digital platforms e.g. Instagram vs TikTok vs Twitter.
Able to think on your feet & come up with innovative, cross-platform ideas, contribute to ideation sessions as needed.
Confidence to propose new and different solutions to existing practices.
Ability to remain highly focused and flexible while working under pressure on several projects at once.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across a number of departments and services; to tight deadlines.
Creative software experience a bonus (Photoshop, After Effects etc.)
A love of entertainment and factual content is essential!
