This role is crucial in supporting the day-to-day running of the studio, ensuring that all operational activities are executed flawlessly. The Studio Operations Manager will be the linchpin of the facility, coordinating between multiple teams, including technical, business development, facilities management and client-facing departments, to guarantee that the studio operates at peak efficiency.Working closely with production clients and producers during shoot days, the Studio Operations Manager will assist in the smooth running of the studio, managing all aspects from bookings and event coordination to building operations and safety compliance. They will ensure that all teams are briefed and coordinated, maintaining the booking system and facilities management software to prevent scheduling conflicts and ensure that the studio's operations are seamless.This role is central to the success of Studio Ulster, requiring a highly organised and tech-savvy individual who excels at multitasking and communication. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the studio's reputation as a world-class facility, ensuring that every client and project is managed with the utmost care and professionalism. The Studio Operations Manager will not only sustain the daily operations of the facility but will also contribute to its continued growth and success in the rapidly evolving world of virtual production and creative technologies.Job SummaryThe Studio Operations Manager will serve as the central hub for all operational activities at Studio Ulster. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring seamless communication across multiple teams, and maintaining a high standard of service for both internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy, organised individual with a multifaceted skillset, capable of managing the entire facility, including bookings, security, technical operations, and liaising with the business development team. They will work closely with the senior studio supervisor, facility management team, receptionist, and company secretary, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.Key Duties1. Oversee the daily operations of the studio, including security, maintenance, and cleaning.2. Serve as the key point of contact for all operational issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption.3. Coordinate with the senior studio supervisor, facility management team and security to ensure all building systems, including alarm systems, fire alarms, heating, lighting, and water systems, are functioning correctly and efficiently.4. Act as the building's key holder, responsible for opening and closing procedures.5. Act as the glue between multiple teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across departments, including technical, business development, and client-facing teams.6. Support and liaise with the receptionist, company secretary, and senior studio supervisor to maintain a well-organised and efficient work environment.7. Manage and oversee all aspects of studio bookings and usage, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of demos, events, and other activities.8. Ensure all teams are briefed and coordinate each request to avoid scheduling conflicts, managing the main booking system, and facilities management software to ensure no overlap in availability.9. Provide direct support in booking and event logistics, coordinating with clients and internal teams to guarantee successful execution.10. Maintain the booking calendar, ensuring it accurately reflects availability and upcoming events.11. Work closely with production clients and producers during shoot days, assisting with the running of the studio, and ensuring that building operations are maintained both during and outside of use.12. Provide necessary information for call sheets, ensuring all relevant operational details are communicated to production teams.13. Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring all services are delivered to a high standard and meet the studio's needs.14. Order supplies and materials as needed, keeping an eye on inventory and budget.15. Oversee work carried out by contractors within the building, ensuring they adhere to safety and operational guidelines.16. Collaborate with the tech team to manage and maintain studio assets, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.17. Track and record all studio assets, coordinating repairs and replacements as necessary.18. Ensure all operations adhere to Health & Safety regulations, including conducting regular fire alarm tests and safety inspections.19. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant statutory Health & Safety legislation.20. Be trained in first aid and other relevant certifications to respond effectively in emergencies.21. Perform minor maintenance work and oversee contractors working in the building, ensuring they follow safe working practices.22. Prepare and serve refreshments during meetings if necessary.23. Take a proactive approach to general maintenance, identifying and addressing issues before they escalate.Essential Criteria1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar operations or facilities management role, preferably within a complex studio environment or similar technology-based environment.2. Demonstrable experiencing managing budgets, resources and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various teams and external clients.4. Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and the implementation of operational strategies in line with the company's long-term vision. 5. Project coordination and facilities management skills across complex technology-based projects and multiple teams.6. Experience in managing booking systems and ensuring calendar availability is accurate and up to date.7. Experience working with production teams and assisting during shoot days.8. Demonstrable risk management experience and knowledge of Health safety regulations and fire code compliance. 9. Demonstrable In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulationDesirable Criteria1. Experience in project management or team leadership.2. Trained and working knowledge of H&S legislation (H&S Certificate / NEBOSH).3. Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.4. Familiarity with booking and asset management systems.5. First aid trained with additional relevant certifications (e.g., Health & Safety).6. Experience of organising staff training and professional development.7. Process Optimisation experience. 8. A degree and or Masters in a related field. 9.
