2. Why do you want to work for the Mirror?
3. One story idea you think would be of interest to Mirror readers

The portfolio (please attach or provide a link within your CV/cover letter to this) should include 10 to 15 images or videos you have personally captured/created that best represent you and your creative style.

So, who are we?

We are Reach Plc, you might not have heard of us but we have probably met without you even realising it. We are home to the UK and Ireland's most iconic digital platforms, magazines and newspapers. From the Mirror, Daily Express and OK!, to our regional titles such as the Liverpool Echo, BirminghamLive and the Manchester Evening News (plus lots more), our brands and the stories we cover are as varied as our people. We help all kinds of people share experiences through our stories because we believe this is what makes us human.

Oh, and we should probably also mention that with a monthly readership of 47 million people, Reach is the largest commercial publisher in the UK. At Reach, not only will you feel better understood, you will also feel you understand other people better too.

Job Description
What will the role involve?

You will learn the ins and outs of the Mirror brand, undertaking various secondments across different areas of the newsroom. You will work closely with and be supported by multimedia editors, photographers and videographers. You will learn how to properly shoot, edit and transfer media for use by our news sites, social media platforms and print publications, ensuring all your content meets the Mirror's high standards. You will also research and publish editorial and social media content, immersing yourself in all aspects of multimedia content creation.

You will get to be part of our dynamic Pride of Britain team as one of your secondments, helping to ensure this fantastic event goes off without a hitch. To set you up for success in the role, you will be provided with a fully funded Cannon multimedia kit including photographic, lighting, audio and video equipment, as well as full training on how to use it.
