Freelance Videographer - Leeds (Ongoing)

.Crew is looking for a reliable and creatively-minded freelance videographer based near Leeds to join us on an ongoing project for one of our major clients in the vintage items space.

You'll be shooting organic and UGC-style video content on location, working with creators, staff and actors at various sites (mostly in and around Leeds). Our team at .Crew will always provide the creative direction and core concept, but we're looking for someone who can confidently take over the day-to-day execution after an initial onboarding phase.

This is not just a camera operator role - we're looking for someone who understands visual storytelling, has a creative eye, and can bring content to life with a degree of autonomy. Ideally, you're someone who feels comfortable directing talent on small-scale shoots and ensuring the outcome matches the creative intent.

What you'll do

Film engaging, social-first video content (mostly organic or UGC-style)
Operate independently or with light-touch direction from .Crew
Collaborate with .Crew and client teams on-site for concept kick-offs
Direct creators, actors or staff where needed during shoots
Ensure high-quality visual output, even on quick turnarounds
Adapt flexibly to feedback and evolve with each shoot

What we're looking for

Based in or near Leeds, with a car and valid driving licence
3+ years' experience fiiming branded or social content
Strong camera skills - you know how to frame, light and shoot confidently
A good sense of pace, tone, and story in short-form video
Confident giving light direction to talent on set
Able to take creative ownership once a format is established
Flexible and easy to work with - this is a collaborative environment
OK with inconsistent workloads (some months busier than others)
