Whether that's in our homes, in restaurants or workplaces.As a proud B Corp, we are committed to educate and inspire people, workplaces, schools and communities all over the world, to help make better choices, one meal at a time.PositionWe have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Food Stylist to join Jamie Oliver's Food Team on a permanent and full time basis.As Assistant Food Stylist you'll assist Jamie and our Food Styling team on all Jamie Oliver recipes, filming and photography shoots, live demonstrations, cooking lessons and events.The Jamie Oliver offices are based in north London, where you'll spend most of your time, however in this role you'll also work at other locations including Essex and other studios as relevant to specific projects.Reporting into the Head of Food Styling and working alongside other Stylists and Senior Stylists, your job responsibilities will include:Assisting the team with planning and preparation of recipes for shoots, collating equipment and props, ensuring they are all in working order and packing them carefully when travelling to shoots on locationPurchasing or sourcing the ingredients for each shoot based on the shopping list provided by the Senior/Food StylistSetting up an efficient prep kitchen on set, as advised by the Senior Food Stylist or Head of Food StylingUnpacking props and checking theRequirementsReporting into the Head of Food Styling and working alongside other Stylists and Senior Stylists, your job responsibilities will include:Assisting the team with planning and preparation of recipes for shoots, collating equipment and props, ensuring they are all in working order and packing them carefully when travelling to shoots on locationPurchasing or sourcing the ingredients for each shoot based on the shopping list provided by the Senior/Food StylistSetting up an efficient prep kitchen on set, as advised by the Senior Food Stylist or Head of Food StylingUnpacking props and checking them prior to re-packing them and returning them in a timely manner to prop housesBeing on call during shoots to purchase any last-minute itemsRegularly keep on top of the the team diary and your own calendar, to plan your time and flag any clashes with your line managerOn occasion, testing recipes and feeding back comments to the Editorial TeamContributing creative and recipe ideas to internal brainstorms, as requiredKeeping up-to-date with current food trends and being aware of the food sceneJoint responsibility with the Food Team Housekeeper to maintain the kitchens, studio area and prop cupboards, ensuring areas are kept tidy, fully stocked and clearly labelled, and plants wateredAccurately recording costs and working to budgets as provided by the Senior/Food Stylist you are supportingWorking closely with the Non-Digital Production team to plan your time well and keep the wider team aware of where you're workingAssisting across TV, video and stills shoots, including content for commercial partnerships and Jamie's platforms (including jamieoliver.com, YouTube, in-app content and various social channels)WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOWTo be successful in this role you will need to have the following:Some prior professional experience working in a kitchen or equivalent trainingA strong creative flair and a passion for all things foodGreat organisational skills and a systematic approach to your workHigh level of self motivation and initiative and a strong work ethicGood administrative skillsValid UK driving licenceA willingness to be highly flexible and willing to work outside of standard office hours - including occasional weekend work and travel both in the UK and abroadOther informationA friendly and supportive company culture in a creative officeHybrid workingCompetitive salary, bonus, pension, life insurance and medical coverLots of training and development opportunitiesGreat holiday allowance, plus half a day for christmas shoppingFabulous food perks including free breakfast at the office, subsidised lunches, foodie forums, cooking classes and the opportunity to test out Jamie's new recipes!Social events, discounted gym membership, plus massage and nail appointments on siteThis is a fixed term /permanent role beginning ASAP.
