PLP's Programming department is looking for a dynamic and creative Assistant Producer. Whether you can drive a busy gallery in a live-match environment as a VT Coord or excel in a multi-camera shoot & edit capacity crafting high-end features and montages, the successful candidate will have considerable experience and expertise in either of the above, or even better, in both.

Your role wouldn't stop there - we are looking for someone who has a thirst to learn new skills and challenges the status quo. This role will allow an ambitious individual to make it their own, supporting the wider team of Assistant Producers, Producers and Senior Producers. Sport is an unpredictable medium and we can guarantee every day will be different and challenging. However, with the depth of experience available at PLP, we are committed to developing you to ensure you thrive in this exciting role.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a full-time fixed-term contract role starting on the 5th August 2024 and ending on 26th May 2025. The role will be based at our office in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.

You will be required to work some weekends, some unsocial hours, and at certain times over the seasonal holidays. Some travel nationally or internationally may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

Assisting the Producers/Senior Producers on the editorial production of live and magazine programmes for the Premier League.
To VT coordinate our flagship Matchday Live and other Content Service shows and/or work in a live studio environment capacity.
To brainstorm, plan, research, shoot and edit high-quality VT montages and features for all Programming department shows - live or magazine-style, short and long-form programmes.
To direct multi-camera shoots off-site and conduct interviews with contributors as necessary.
To log and review rushes and select suitable material for editing.
To lead post-production alongside an editor as necessary.
To supervise and help train junior members of the team e.g. Researchers and Editorial Assistants, where necessary.
Responsible for adhering to compliance guidelines, as appropriate.
Responsible for preparation and co-ordination of shoot Risk Assessments, as appropriate.

You Will Have The Following Strengths:

Experience of live or magazine-style TV production.
Previous experience as an Assistant Producer in a live gallery environment and/or experience of leading shoots, edits and post-production for promos, montages, and features.
Experience of idea generation for promos, montages, and features.
Experience of directing single or multi-camera shoots, sourcing and interviewing contributors.
Experience of logging rushes and selecting material for edits.
An understanding of the basics of scriptwriting.
An understanding of digital workflows.
An understanding and experience of non-linear edit systems.
Ability to motivate and guide more junior members of the team.
Excellent knowledge of the Premier League.
