Job purposeThe Content Mastering Operator's responsibilities involve preparing source materials, performing Quality Control, and the creation of content for worldwide distribution. This may include the creation of materials for marketing, trailer and feature releases, and episodic distribution. Most of all we want ambitious, driven people passionate about technology and film.Key ResponsibilitiesDCP Encoding & Repackaging:Creation of a wide variety of Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs): Subtitled, Dubbed, 5.1, 7.1, Atmos, SMPTE and InteropCreation of Subtitles and dubbing reference filesEdits for censorship purposesTechnical validation and troubleshootingCreation of downstream deliverablesSimple audio edits and conformsSpot checks and short-form QCsCommunication:The role involves communicating with Account Managers to create the theatrical materials for film releasesCommunication with other departments such as IO, Subtitling, GFX and QC is required to assist with troubleshooting problems that may occur in the fieldPlanning & Organisation:Collaborating with other Digital Cinema Mastering Technicians to ensure that projects are delivered on timeResponsible for all admin related to completing ordersRequirementsQualifications:Must exemplify MPS's Core Values of Fun, Innovation, Time, and TrustEducated to degree level or equivalentExperience:Prior experience in Post Production or Digital CinemaProfessional experience in using non-linear editing toolsKnowledge of video and audio codecsExperience using R&S ClipstersSkills & Knowledge:An interest in Digital Cinema and its surrounding technologiesExperience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and WordKnowledge of the Digital Cinema Industry, aware of competitors and new technologiesExperience using a Linux environment and TerminalBehaviours:Able to manage multiple projectsClear understanding of workflows and escalation processesExcellent scheduling, project management and organisational skillsCommitted to offering a high level of serviceAttention to detail and accuracyBenefits25 days' Annual LeaveMedicash Health Cash PlanCinema ticket discountsCycle to Work SchemeDexters 'No Deposit' OptionInterest Free Deposit LoanEnhanced Maternity & Paternity LeaveCompany Sick Pay SchemeSeason Ticket LoanSummer & Christmas PartiesTraining
