We're looking for digital content producer to work in our regional digital hub.You'll be mainly working with our regional news teams to tell stories from across the UK that resonate with audiences. A lot of your time will be spent on creating social video but you'll need to be versatile - equally at home with editing written work and collaborating with journalists from multiple newsrooms.You'll be working with award-winning editorial team who pride themselves on producing content that covers the biggest stories and talking points of the day, that reflects and celebrates people at every opportunity. You'll need to be passionate and knowledgeable about digital content. The roleYou'll be responsible for ensuring digital content - mainly social video - is produced and published at the highest level, and that it is accurate and compliant.You will be a qualified journalist with a real depth of experience gained from working in a digital role within a news organisation.As such, you will be able to demonstrate your journalistic skills, editorial judgement and digital knowledge, so that you make our news content engaging and relevant to our audience online.You will be an excellent communicator and a team player. We feel strongly that our stories should be accessible to people from all backgrounds and we aim to attract and then nurture talent from under-represented backgrounds, so it's important that you are committed to telling stories with particular appeal to a diverse range of viewers.You'll understand how to create video for social platforms, research and write.You'll ensure content is accurate and brilliantly presented, with sharp editing and writing, digital-focused headlines and making use of the best pictures, video and other multimedia assets. You'll generate creative solutions to presenting content online.Enthusiasm, imagination and digital ideas are all essential as is the ability to respond well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines. Your strong news sense and judgement will define you in this role. Please also include your CV.
