Edit Assistant

West London

We are looking for an Edit Assistant to join our busy Post team.

The role would suit someone who is experienced using Adobe Creative Cloud, is technically minded, and has meticulous attention to detail.

The role will involve assisting at every stage of post-production including the media management of all rushes, setting up and prepping projects, editing selects and mastering deliverables.

Arabic or Portuguese language skills would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities:
• Ingesting, media managing, syncing and prepping rushes and proxies.
• Setting up edit suites
• Managing incoming/outgoing media storage (this will include hard drives and Signinat transfers)
• Making selects and comps for edits
• Ensuring all media management is kept to the highest level of accuracy and detail
• First line technical support for post production hardware and software
• Creating and Managing Media Shuttle portals
• Exporting and managing review files for internal and external clients (We Transfer, Frame.io, Sony CI, Vimeo etc..)

Skills and Experience:
• One year's previous experience in a similar role within a post production department
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Productions would be a bonus).
• Prevoius experience of cloud workflows a bonus.
• Familiarity with Mac OS
• Creating multi-cam sync maps, split track exports, proxy workflows, re-versioning, subtitling
• Solid understanding of video files, codecs, wrappers and their application
• Familiarity with post production workflows and technical infrastructure
• Practical experience or understanding of media quality control would be a bonus
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
• Confident People and Communication skills and problem-solving abilities
• Up to date knowledge of new industry technologies
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for sport is a bonus but not essential.

Location:
The base for this position will predominantly be Kew, London, international travel on occasion.

Working Day:
5 day week, based in the Kew office.
This role will require a degree of flexibility and possibly weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team to a schedule based on production requirement.
Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.
Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.

Start:
ASAP - till end of Jan 2025 (possible option to extend to May 2025).
