A fabulous opportunity for a TV/Film Producer or Locations Manager who is looking for a change. You will play a central role in developing and promoting Scotland's offer to international and local productions.The ability to travel throughout Scotland, as well as internationally, is important. THE COMPANYOur client is a national screen body driving the development of all aspects of Scotland's film and TV industries. THE ROLEAs Head of Screen Commission, you will work manage the strategy for inward investment of film and television productions to Scotland, through reaching out to both local and international producers.Key responsibilities:Take responsibility for the overall management of enquiries from film, television, advertising and other producers/location mangers/scouts.Work in partnership with the British Film Commission as an inherent part of the full UK's location/studio filming offer internationally. Partner with and support the activities of local film officers.Support the networking of Scottish creative talent. Advise and refine how the business can best work with the Scottish Government, its agencies, and local government; in regards to the promotion of Scotland. Manage department spend across budget linesWork with local council authorities to draft, agree and implement Film Charters.THE PERSON The ideal candidate will have several years of experience working in the Film & TV sector, and have the ability to develop new senior-level relationships with UK and international producers. Previous experience of working in (or with) a screen commission/locations office would be highly desirable.You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working at a strategic level to support the development and delivery of film or television production. You will be promoting Scotland as a filming location so it will be very useful to have a geographic knowledge of the country in terms of its historic and build environment.
