Junior Digital Video Editor

London hybrid HYBRID

As the Junior Digital Video Editor for Sky History, Crime+Investigation and Blaze you'll edit videos for all our social media channels and help turn raw clips into viral content!

We're looking for an organised and detail-oriented individual with some experience in editing, copywriting, social media and producing short form content up to 8 minutes long. The Junior Digital Video Editor will assist the Senior Short Form Manager in ensuring that all content is published and scheduled for sharing across all our social media platforms. The role involves liaising with different departments to determine priorities and schedules as well as providing regular updates on task due dates and progress to relevant parties.

You stay up-to-date with viral content, popular creators, and current trends.

You're skilled in video editing and proficient in Premiere Pro.

You're eager to learn and excited to be part of a top short form team.

You have a strong work ethic, a passion for social content, and a good sense of humour.

You'll produce content with quick turnarounds but if you're looking to express your creativity through video editing, this is the job for you!


This is a permanent position. This role will be hybrid based in the London office, working on exciting, award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY and Crime+Investigation.

Key Responsibilities

Edit short form video from A+E Networks UKs library programme footage and premiere content.

Ensure short form videos are delivered to the unique specification for each social media account, including Facebook, Reels, TikTok, Snapchat and other emerging platforms.

Schedule and coordinate content across all social media platforms to ensure timely and strategic posts that align with the overall plan.

Develop and craft engaging social media copy tailored for various platforms to enhance brand presence and audience engagement.

Oversee and manage social media platforms to ensure consistent and effective brand messaging, community engagement, and performance tracking.

Handle community management by engaging with followers, responding to comments, and fostering a positive online community.

Design and produce eye-catching thumbnails for YouTube videos to increase click-through rates and viewer engagement.


Person Specification

Fluency in English, with impeccable grammar and punctuation skills.

Enthusiasm for video editing and social media content.

A familiarity with the A+E Networks UK channel portfolio, and a passion for television and online video.

Previous work experience in a media, agency or broadcast environment ideally.

Excellent video editing skills using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

Thorough understanding of the different social media platforms.

An understanding of storytelling on social media, and what makes an engaging, shareable story.

Experience working to strict deadlines and targets.

Able to design attractive thumbnails, graphics, and decks.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
