JAM is seeking applications from talented junior editors to join our fantastic team. This position will run across several animated productions now underway. So if you are passionate about animation production, we'd love to hear from you.Job Description: We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Editor to join our dynamic team. The role will involve assisting the editing of animated series, ensuring that the final picture and synch meets the high standards of our series. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or a junior professional looking to develop their skills and build a career in animation editing.The junior editor will be responsible for ensuring series standard is maintained using the approved animatics and building toward final picture and sound and complete edits to agreed deadlines as set out by the Series Director, Producer and Production Manager throughout the series.Required Skills / Experience: 1-2 years of experience in video editing, preferably within the animation industry.Strong sense of timing and storytelling.Maintain continuity of editing within schedule, ability to meet tight deadlines.Detail-oriented with excellent communication and teamwork skills.Work with lead Editor to ensure that scenes are in line with the Director's vision.Key RequirementsProficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer. Basic understanding of animation software like Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom, or Maya is useful.Attention to detail, problem solving ability and taking direction in order to work in a collaborative team environment.Position open to UK residents only.Role available for in house/hybrid working in Belfast studio. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working on animated series or related projects.Familiarity with colour correction and sound editing.Basic understanding of scripting and storyboarding.Software: Adobe Creative Suite
