We are looking for an experienced Producer and Editor to be an integral part of the production team on a brand new NFL digital magazine show for the forthcoming 2024 season. This role is to work on creating eye-catching, shareable, short-form NFL content and would suit a creative with a passion for the NFL and a real working understanding of digital platformsThe ideal candidate should have a keen interest in the NFL and they should match this with research, technical and editorial know how. A great standard of self-editing on Adobe Premiere Pro is vital, as is solo self-shooting experience on Sony A7S, FX3 or FX9 cameras.This a senior role in a small team with a lot of responsibility.Whisper is proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we actively seek candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities.Key Responsibilities: • Work as part of the production team on a weekly digital magazine show • Produce and ideally self-shoot talent-led content in the UK• Self-edit features for the series using Adobe Premiere Pro• Develop and deliver creative concepts• Quickly master the weekly workflow of NFL content, and play a central part in edit preparation and media management of the production• Be a responsible member of the team, with an appreciation of the end-to-end production of the show• Ensure all content is of a first-class standard, thoroughly researched and factually correct• Work effectively with other departments, clients and partners (both internal and external), maintaining Whisper's excellent relationships and communication• Ensure that the output complies with Whisper's editorial, technical, design and accessibility standards, whilst always working to the company's Health and Safety policy• Uphold the reputation of the company by embodying the ethos of Whisper"Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation."Knowledge, Skills and Experience: • Demonstrated ability and experience of producing, and editing engaging, entertaining, and creative features for digital platforms including YouTube.• A broad knowledge and passion for the NFL• Proven experience of editing features for broadcast using Adobe Premiere Pro• Experience in solo shooting on Sony cameras for broadcast, including sound for presenters is desirable• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects • Ability to spot a good story, devise and develop strong creative ideas• Ability to write clear and concise scripts• Experience producing talent• Experience in quick turnaround productions.• Strong knowledge of Whisper's editorial guidelines and compliance policies, or a willingness to establish this quickly• Experience with complex workloads, consistently prioritising and delivering to deadlines, reacting positively to changes and conflicts• Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills• A demonstrable level of creativity with the ability to bring a fresh new approach to creating engaging and evolving outputWorking Days: This is a 4:1 position, 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home.Proposed days of work: Thursday / Friday / Sunday / Monday / TuesdayThis role will require working unsociable hours to meet the NFL / US Time Zone on Sundays and Mondays. Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day weekThis role will require a degree of flexibility.
