The series is set it modern day Manchester and follows young wishing wizard, Rafi Martin, her two Dad's Jake and Dash and their family cat Deborah as Rafi learns to use her very own wishing wand to make little wishes. But little wishes can have big consequences. The series combines slice of life sitcom with lots of magic and a whole heap of heart. The BBC Studios' Kids & Family Animation team are looking for an experienced Production Management Assistant to join the project on a 12 month contract. The team will be based in MediaCityUK, and the role will be working hybrid/agile working 2/3 days in the office and then from home each week. We're looking for the role to start in March 2024. Main Responsibilities• Reporting into the Production Manager, and supporting the Production Coordinator, you'll work in partnership with the editorial team to deliver outstanding content to our young and diverse audiences. • You'll provide exceptional administrative support across the production, supporting the smooth running of the production and acting as a key point of contact with the internal team and our external partners. • You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records of a wide variety of information, such as contact lists, purchase orders, consent forms and child licencing information, in line with data protection policy.• You'll support the Script Editor, Head Writer and Creative Producer with the sharing of scripts, designs and other animation files in line with the schedule, corresponding with stakeholders to request feedback and collating feedback notes. • Supporting the PC you'll organise complex logistics from booking travel and accommodation, arranging voice over records, writers workshops, internal and external meetings and events and providing clear communication to attendees. • Assisting with the creation of pick-ups scripts for voice recording with the cast. • You'll manage a robust system for filing and sharing of a wide range of documents, materials and assets. • Producing accurate Silvermouse and other delivery paperwork for multiple episodes. Are you the right candidate?• Experience of working at Production Management Assistant level, and have experience of working in a fast-paced and changeable content-making environment. • Passionate about building a career in animation production management. Any experience working on animation content will be advantageous but not essential. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.• Strong organisational and planning skills, demonstrated by the ability to manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines. • Ability to use initiative with confidence, using judgement to escalate issues where necessary.• Passionate about building a career in animation production management. Any experience working on animation content will be advantageous but not essential. • Ability to think creatively and to contribute ideas and suggestions around improving ways of working. • Enthusiastic about working on an animation production which reflects the lives of a same-sex parent family living in Manchester.• Experience of BBC systems and Silvermouse are desired, but not essential.
