Makematic is a leading producer of educational live-action and animation content for an exciting range of clients, creating Better Educational Media for learners of all ages, around the world.We work remotely, with colleagues in Australia, USA, France and all over the UK, but also have offices in Belfast and London. We are expanding our talent pool and would like to hear from experienced Senior Producers who are passionate about creating content that makes a difference. From History to Media Literacy, and everything in between, our subject matter is as varied as our team, but always has education at its core.Job PurposeSenior Producers work with their project team to produce high-quality live-action and animated educational content, ensuring that all output is delivered on time and to budget. This mid-level role covers all aspects of production from the development of ideas and instructional design to script-writing, producing, live-action directing, animation directing & edit producing, through to final delivery. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the production workflow from brief to delivery on assigned projectsWork with the Executive Producer, Series Producer, and wider team to deliver projects on budget and scheduleDevelop scripts and creative treatments that adhere to the creative vision for any given project - across our multiple formats.Monitor expenditures throughout the production process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.Direct and manage shoots - including responsibility for the Health & Safety of crew and contributors.QC content and ensure it is fully compliant with copyright, 3rd party agreement with accurate production and post-production paperwork, and meta-data.Establish and maintain positive working relationships, both internally and externallyEssential SkillsProduction experience at this senior levelUnderstanding and appreciation of Educational contentVisual creativity Strong storytellingSound editorial judgementHigh standard of written and spoken EnglishAbility to work remotely with a stable broadband connectionShould be highly motivated, flexible, and able to withstand pressureDesirable skillsAdobe Creative Cloud applicationsLive-action directingEditing Scriptwriting Script editingAdditional languagesQualifications in related fieldsWe strongly encourage applications from producers who reflect the diversity of our audiences.We will endeavour to reply to all short-listed applicants.
