We're looking for a dynamic, ambitious and highly motivated Series Producer to join our expanding team in Leeds.The successful candidate will play a key role across the content made in Leeds. They will work across multiple productions with both UK and international broadcasters during the course of this fixed term contract and will work closely with the Head of Regions to build upon an ever-growing slate. You will manage the day-to-day production of ongoing projects working with your team to produce high quality factual content.Ideally you would have examples of work across the factual genre, from premium box sets, feature length singles, access based obs docs, and multi-episodic formats. You'll need great relationships with Northern talent, and be able demonstrate the development of new/ young / diverse talent in your previous roles.Working alongside the Head of Regions, you will help take ideas from inception to delivery with an approximate split of 75%/25% split between managing ongoing productions/developing new projects. Key Responsibilities You will be an experienced programme maker with a great sense of what makes brilliant televisionAn established Series Producer with a number of credits across a range of programmes/ channels or streamersSelf- starter with strong ideasStrong leadership skills - with a proven ability to motivate and support teams during productionWith forensic attention to detail, you'll lead multiple projects from start to finish through all aspects of the production processWorking closely with the Head of Regions, you will be a strong communicator, and the ability to interpret briefs and proposals to creatively and effectively deliver content on time and within budgetLeading sometimes multiple Edits - you'll ensure projects flow from production, post and deliveryA flair for writing, whether through scripts, briefs or proposalsA positive "can do" attitude towards workHard working, enthusiastic and a good sense of humourExtensive experience of legal situations and understanding of media law, and the ITN Legal Compliance proceduresAbility to demonstrate the core ITN ValuesThese are the main requirements of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties. Key Requirements Proven background in Factual programming - current affairs or journalism would be advantageousDemonstrate strong editorial judgement with proven examples of troubleshooting and remedying significant production issuesDevelopment experience and a passion for coming up with - and securing commissionsKeep informed of topical issues for specific exploitation through programmingAbility to work to sometimes tight deadlines, be adaptable and resilientExperience in building strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholdersProven ability to deliver projects on time and on budgetTeam management - to motivate, set deadlines, be creative and supportive of your teamManage expectations and develop relationships with Head of Regions
