We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Video Manager to join the Social & Online team on a fixed term basis. Reporting into the Director of Social, the Social Video Manager will own the social media monetisation activity across our network of brands with a special focus on UKTV Play, Dave, Yesterday and W. The role's day to day will consists of owning and managing the end to end process of monetising content on social media: editorial strategy, content research, video production and editing, rights clearances, content delivery workflow and optimisation. Platform focus will be predominantly YouTube, but include Meta and TikTok too. A big part of the role is also bringing teams together, collaborating with social media leads and liaising with stakeholders of all levels with a strong ability to influence. This role will also manage 2 direct reports.In this role you will get to: Be responsible for the editorial strategy and output across monetised content on YouTube, Meta, TikTok Work closely with commissioning and have an editorial voice in bringing programme extenstions to life on social mediaBe a key contributor to driving and delivering UKTV's 5 year social media strategy We are looking for someone who has:Experience building and running a monetised YouTube channel or several channels. Running monetised content on on other social platforms considered a plus. We welcome applications from everyone and we want UKTV to be a place where you can be your authentic self, give your best and develop your career free from discrimination of any kind.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and lead the day to day management and output for UKTV brands on YouTube, as well as working with social media managers to assist in the monetisation of content across Meta and TikTokFor YouTube, lead on content strategy, content planning and video workflow, managing the end to end process including content selection, video editing, rights clearances and content delivery workflowWork closely with social lead & brand lead to ensure brand's identity & strong tone of voice is brought to life within content strategy and plansManage and lead a small team (video editor & digital deliverables co-ordinator) Ensure platform best practice is adhered to across all content, taking into consideration platform nuisances and ever evolving updates Ensure UKTV social media policies are being followed across compliance and editorial Work closely with social media analyst to inform content performance to optimise accordingly as well as utilise data to give reccomendations on video release scheduleFeed into digital commissioning process, to help translate programme ideas into social-first spin offsLead performance updates for the wider teams, being the glue between VOD, channel teams and commissoing to ensure all stakeholders are informed and consulted appropriatelyManage effective relationships with internal teams (specifically marketing, social, comms, VOD and commissioning) as well as external partners including production companies and talentKeep up to date with social platform developments, trends and news
