This is a fixed term contract for 16 monthsJob DescriptionYou will be the face of new tools and technologies. If it's a game engine, you can make it work regardless of which one it is. You will partner with a creative team of artists to ensure our marketing assets are delivered to the highest quality and compete on a world class level. You will support our artists and make sure they can be as creative and productive as possible so that technical problems do not stand in their way. You may also contribute to shot layout, technical application, animation, FX and rendering to achieve the final creative vision as set forward by your Art/Creative Director. ResponsibilitiesHelp setting up cinematic shots, lookdev scenes, and reusable prefabs.Understand, review, and improve existing node-based visual scripting logic for game entities and rendering processes, and designing and implementing new logic when needed.Identify technical problems and propose solutionsAdapt to artistic and technical constraints to provide a workflow for cinematic artists on a per project basisProvide hands-on support to artists and engineers regarding asset performance and validationProvide feedback to artists and external partnersReview creative process and identify opportunities for tool improvements (per project)Solve technical issues in the 3d asset pipelineWork with partner studios to share technology and best practicesWork with artists and programmers to create 3D art and make sure assets are integrated at its highest quality.You will be reporting to the Senior Operations ManagerQualificationsMinimum 3 years' experience in a digital art content creation pipeline, within the video game or film/tv industry with a focus on cinematicsExperience within a game engine (Frostbite, Unreal, Unity, or similar)Experience producing outstanding cinematic assetsExperience with game development frameworks and methodologiesExperience with real-time workflows and the technical hurdles/limitations associatedBonus SkillsFamiliarity with 3D DCC tools such as Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder, 3dsMax, or Blender.Experience developing custom tools for Digital content creation (DCC)Knowledge of high-level coding language. (Python, C#, mel scripting)Experience with version control systems such as Perforce, Git, or Shotgrid (Flow Production Tracking).
