Video Editor

Euston, London

We are looking for someone with a keen interest and knowledge of the YouTube community and must have video editing experience in:

• Adobe premiere
• Adobe audition
• Adobe photoshop
• After effects

It would also be desirable for you to have video editing experience in:

• Final cut pro
• Illustrator

In this position, you will play a major role in shaping and expanding the company's content creation.

The video editor will be responsible for producing customised video content for WildBrain's channels, as well as a range of other brand related video editing and video workflow tasks. The video producer will collaborate with the production coordinators and have creative input on developing original content, and will execute content decisions by cutting together video from existing television footage in WildBrain's catalog as well as original content productions. The editor will also be responsible for the creation of promotional video ads to help market the channels.

• Creating clips and clip compilations from episodic content
• Creating clips and videos from branded content produced
• Creating promotional video ads
• Designing custom intros and end cards for web videos
• Transcoding and converting videos between various formats.
• Ensuring that source videos files meet quality control standards
• Maintaining an organized file and folder structure of all video content.

The candidate:

Skills/experience
• Have a degree in media production or related field
• Some experience in post- production
• An interest and awareness in the YouTube platform and community
• Demonstrable experience in editing short form engaging video content
• Strong understanding of the production experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised, easily able to demonstrate successful multi-tasking
• An excellent team worker/player
• Demonstrate a flexible and pro-active approach
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
• Demonstrate a professional approach
• Have a viewable portfolio
• Experience with a variety of post-production software; ideally Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge or interest in children's content is beneficial
