As a Support Engineer (Production), you will provide first class support to the production users, maintaining and troubleshooting workstations and systems as required, with the aim of providing a stable and fully functioning production environment, either onsite or remotely. You will also be involved in the implementation of new production environments, from workstations to new studios within EMEA. You will play a key part in assessing new technologies to help optimise our end-to-end production workflow.The role will be required to work on a flexible rota, being available from 9am to 6pm weekdays, including telephone support and regular onsite support at weekends and for other out of hours production work, including any On Call / Rota system that is required.Implementation of new production environments - support, maintain, administer and troubleshoot media production equipment and systems,Collaborate with the wider global production technology team to ensure working to global operational and security standards.Providing first and second line support to the suitesDocument and update documentation on standard proceduresTo complete project work as set by the Production Technology Manager or Lead EngineerProvide support and cover for other Production Support Engineers.Reporting lines and key stakeholdersThis role reports to the Production Technology Manager.You will work closely with all print, digital and moving image teams.RequirementsGeneral "can-do" service attitude, Have a proactive, flexible approach and actively suggest new ideas.Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking abilitiesExcellent communication, problem solving and organisational skillsA flexible attitude to working out of hours when requiredAble to adapt and keep abreast of changes in technology by investigating new systems, techniques and equipment, particularly Adobe technologies.Working knowledge of macOS, Windows and Linux operating systemsGood technical understanding of production workflows for print, digital, moving image, audio as well as colour pipeline, acquisition formats and technical standards.Good command line and scripting knowledgeIt would be great if you had some knowledge of any of the following (but it's not a must!)......Working experience of production software and hardware including Autodesk Flame / Flame Assist, Adobe Creative Cloud, Da Vinci Resolve, Baselight and Avid ProtoolsExperience of Render farms (software and hardware) and render managers (Deadline etc)Experience of software deployment tools including Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune
