Over the past 26 years I have been involved in many aspects of the television, film and music industries. In this time I have acquired a diverse skill set as well as gaining the necessary experience for the role of Visual Effects Supervisor / Producer. I believe that my thorough understanding of the processes involved in taking visual effect from script through to screen allow me to add value to a wide range of TV and Film projects.

December 2001 - Present Independent Visual Effects Supervisor / Producer

As an Independent Visual Effects Supervisor / Producer. I aim to create visual effect, which are dynamic and effective. I work with the Production Company, Director and Post Production Facilities, to ensure elements are shot or created correctly in order to achieve the final production goals effectively and efficiently. My duties often include bid management, budgeting, Scheduling, script breakdown, shoot supervision including chroma key, motion control, multi-pass shoots, 2D & 3D tracking shots and miniatures. I then take the work through Post-Production either by forming a bespoke team of 2D & 3D artist or supervising the work within a third party vendor.

June 1997 - December 2001. Complete Facilities, London

Whilst at Complete I worked with clients from the advertising, music and film industries. My clients included several agencies and production companies. Using Henry and Domino, projects ranged from commercials for Lloyds TSB, Kellogg's and Bosch to film effects for Elizabeth, Captain Jack and Lost in Space as well as promo's. Other responsibilities included effects-shoot supervision and client liaison.

January 1990 - June 1997. The Moving Picture Company, London

After starting at MPC as an assistant editor I won several promotions to reach senior editor level. Working with Avid, Henry and Digital Linear suites I edited and composited projects for numerous clients such as AMV, Saatchi & Saatchi and TBWA. Commercials included Nissan, National Lottery and British Telecom. I also worked on Golden Eye, Muppet Treasure Island and Hackers, which assisted the company's move into the film arena. As a senior editor I was often required to attend client meetings, quote jobs and supervise on set.

September 1987 - December 1989. Cameras Limited, London

I was moved to Cameras in order to assist in the expansion and modernisation of camera and video equipment. In addition to the duties fulfilled in my previous role at VFC, I worked with Motion Control systems, and animation control systems for Mitchell and Arriflex cameras. Furthermore my duties often included design and manufacture of specialist camera rigs, as well as operating or supervising equipment on set. My systems were used by Tony Kaye on his award winning British Rail campaign as well as on various other projects.

June 1985 - September 1987. The Video & Film Company, London

Initially responsible for the maintenance of 35mm film and video equipment, my responsibilities were expanded to cover research and development in order to modernise equipment offered to clients.
As head of department I was responsible for shooting camera, lens and lighting tests. In addition, I was required to supervise on set use of stedi-cam, remote camera heads and video systems.
Projects included commercials as well as several feature films such as Aliens, The American Way, Sid and Nancy and Absolute Beginners as a technician.
