An award-winning writer, London-based Nicholas Racz created and wrote the TV series CONCORDIA for Frank Doelger's (GAME OF THRONES) Intaglio Pictures, ZDF, and Viaplay. Currently in production, this high-concept crime procedural is set in a city where constant surveillance has eliminated all crime. Before Concordia Nicholas was working with Jose Padhilla (NARCOS) on a series for FX entitled Whistleblowers. The first season of this proposed anthology series told the story of famous nuclear whistle-blower Karen Silkwood - who died in 1974 under suspicious circumstances.
Nicholas has also been developing Promised Land with Howard Gordon (HOMELAND, 24). Although set in New York, this crime drama focuses upon an unconventional world within the bustling metropolis: the modern Orthodox Jewish community living in Williamsburg.
Nicholas' first feature film as writer and director was The Burial Society - which was an official selection at over 85 film festivals worldwide and won a number of awards, including Best Feature Film at the New Orleans Film Festival and Jury Prizes at the Milan International Film Festival. It was acquired in the US by Regent Entertainment.
Born in Montreal, Nicholas attended McGill University but abandoned its medical school, instead going on to write the award-winning documentary Ozone & The Politics of Medicine. This film was distinguished by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences as "One Of The Best Documentaries Of The Year".
