THE ROLE: An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Lead 3D position in our rapidly expanding Studio. We are a strong team of the industry's leading artists who innovate, design and digitally craft visual effects for any screen.

We are looking for a Lead 3D Artist to elevate and supervise the 3D work on our projects and contribute to scheduling and the creative success of our Studio. Your strong expertise with 3D, art direction and leadership skills help you to inspire a team and bring out the best in each artist. You are accustomed to delivering multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and staying on budget. You are creative, organised, passionate and excited to build an unstoppable team!

MUST HAVE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Extensive experience as a Lead/Senior 3D artist with a minimum of 10 years' experience working in 3D art

Expert-level proficiency in Maya or Houdini, preferably with experience in both.

Able to envision creative ways to leverage ideas and technologies, to develop and realise concepts in multiple mediums.

An exceptional understanding of composition, light, form, shape and structure

Strong understanding of comp process and techniques including colour pipeline

Good understanding of the technical side of your craft and an interest in driving the development of the art pipeline of our in-house technology alongside the Technical Director

Ability to balance artistic aspects with technical / time constraints whilst maintaining high creative standards

Confidence in communicating with clients and making decisions on the direction of 3D projects

Taking an active role in building and growing the art team as a whole

Passion for leadership associated with strong communication skills and the ability to appraise and give feedback to other artists
